What we've been up to...

Since it's been A MONTH since my last post, it's about time I post again hey?

Here are some things we've been up to (some of the pics to follow in another blog)...

-Planting our garden and tending to it, this year we added some new ones - eggplant, lettuce and cilantro.
-Long bike rides with the kids in the Burley around Lake Nokomis and to Wabunn Park - which I may add is 10 miles round trip, a good amount of exercise for Mom :) Typically after the pool at that park, Patrick falls asleep and Elise lets him rest his head (with huge helmet) on her lap. Too cute!
-Fishing at Auntie Doty/Uncle Abe's on their boat
-Swimming in the lake, our poor little kids are still in "infant" life jackets because they are under 30#, HOWEVER they don't like them since they are not infants. I'll be buying some new ones after season for next year!
-Tubing behind Uncle Ken's boat
-Mini-golfing

Needless to say we are thoroughly enjoying this summer with the kids at their ages. Last year Patrick wasn't yet walking! It's fun to be a mobile family of four :)

Elise:
-Has a dancing face, this mad but serious face
-loves singing in the car with me and saying "Mama, you have this song in your car right?"
-getting a sassy side with eye rolls
-loves playing with the neighbor girls
-loves caterpillars, frogs, etc and loves talking to them
-sleeps with pictures of Grandma Grandma and G'ma and B-Bob
-loves cooking with me more and more
-today came to me and said, "oh Mom, I changed the toilet paper."

Patrick:
-wants to "do do" everything him self, he says "no, I do do"
-dances in circles when Greg or I come home
-LOVES golfing, swinging a baseball bat - all done with a LOW voice
-repeating EVERYTHING we say
-doing anything Elise does (he says her name the cutest way - il-Lishe)
